Specs: Windows XP
I have 'net use lpt1' BAT file in Startup and when I enter 'net use' it shows OK.
but the >TYPE file.txt>prn does not work but does not give me an error. I am using a wireless HP 4500 all in one printer which will print from word or excel

make sure the printer drivers are loading before the batch file is running at the command prompt.

I have done that. In fact I deleted the net use lpt1 /d and reentered the net use command, Still did not work on HP4500. I did the same thing for a HP Photosmart and it worked. So I am convinced the HP 4500 all in one will not work.
