Solved trying to delete file and error message appears as below

Specs: Windows XP
i have tried to delete any file or folder and i get the error message " cannot delete : ***** access denied. make sure the disk is not write protected or full or the file is not currently in use."
how to delete the files and folders ? can anyone suggest any solution?

It depends what files or folders exactly you are trying to delete, as Windows won't allow you to delete files that are vital to the operating system, or files that are already in use such as those which start automatically when Windows starts, or files which are open (eg a picture or a document).

If they are definitely not protected operating system files or startup files, restart Windows and then try to delete them. If still no joy, try using File Assassin:
