BSOD with hex code "STOP: 0X00000024 (0X00190203, 0X86EA42B8, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000) Error occurs at start up. So far, I have changed the boot order in the bios to start from CD-ROM and have attempted every boot option listed under F8- normal, safe, command prompt, debug, etc. Windows will attempt to start but will return to the BSOD. At this point, I am unable to perform any chkdsk as I am unable to get into the DOS screen or start a recovery console off the Windows xp CD.
I have also gone as far as turning off the HDD to try to trick the system into running off the CD, but no luck. The Windows XP OS is on the CD-ROM that came with the laptop.
Where do I go from here?
If I can load it from the CD ROM it could work, but as it stands right now, I can't even boot Windows from the CD ROM as the error occurs at start up. BIOS are set to boot from CD first. Also, no FDD.
