Thunderbird and Windows XP

Specs: Windows XP
Since Billy Boy ignores Windows XP, incoming emails contain a page of message information which is irrelevant to me. Plus special signs like accents, the German Umlaut, free spaces come out as different signs, making reading difficult and printing impossible

There is a German speaking website called Billy Boy - don't know if that is what you mean.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Billy Gates of course. But I don't think he's running things anymore.

It's probably more an issue with thunderbird and not xp. You might try an older version:

You should be OK with old version 3.1.1.2 for XP from the link given above.

The current version from Mozilla is 3.2, and the implication is that it still supports XP. However you are definitely likely to need XP SP3 for that, but nobody with XP should be using anything less.

An aside, but probably time to post these two again, which can help XP security:

I think Quixano is just having a rant. Move on nothing to see here!

Yeah, probably is a rant. What I can't understand is that if folk want to rant why don't they go to the outfit that they are ranting about rather than pick some random forum to put this stuff.

Ranters invariably don't think way ahead... Invariably mouth engages (or fingers engage) before limited brain functions and some semblance of logic kick in...?

Billy Boy is also a make of condom... (from a google trawl...) Surprising wot one can discover at times...

Not a trace of a useful reply, just rubbish, at least the last message exchange.

If you were to actually specify the actual problem (does it pertain to a spell checker you're using and circumstances in which you are using it, and so on) perhaps you "might" get some useful assistance.. Otherwise posting what come over as sarcastic comments/responses, will not be of any value or help in resolving your problem...

And not everyone necessarily knows that "Billy Boy" is "your" personal - and possibly that of a few others too - cynical(?) reference to Bill Gates... At least he is (along with a few other multi-millionaires) doing something useful with the money he has made over the years... What is your contribution to overall benefit of humankind; not the least those who come to forums such as this seeking "help"?

Give us a proper question explaining exactly what the issue is you are trying to fix and we will gladly help and stop the chit chat. It is not surprising that starting a question with "Silly Billy Boy" and what followed, caused us to doubt this was a serious posting.

"Not a trace of a useful reply". Answers #5 and #6 were based on an attempt to decipher the question. If they were not useful then provide appropriate feedback and information.

I suggest your make out of milloins, billions. As to my support of others, how about 7 people in 2 Far East c--tries, of whom I only have met one: A bit more than virtually all people of my "class." If a few more would do as much, without force, dubious propagand, aespecially the Gringos, the world would function a bit betterr

Look here. The only reason we answer posts on this forum is to try to help others for free in our own spare time. We couldn't help you properly because your question made little sense.

Your #14 is just a load of rambling gibberish and I doubt anyone here is the least bit interested. If you have a question ask it properly.
