Specs: Macintosh
Sometimes, if the download (not an attatchment) is within the email it will open. I have tried to download templates from Avery and they won't open.

See More: The window which shows downloads is blank.

I have just looked at their page & you have 3 options, this is the page you should be reading.

Can you please from now on try to continue on one or other of the two new threads you have started. That way we don't have to dart around trying to find out what other inputs there have already been. What you do is add your reply to the thread in the box at the bottom as if you were responding. We will know you are the originator from your name. Thanks.

For others, here is a link to the previous thread:

When the download is inserted rather than attached it is simply a page copy. If it is an attachment it requires the email to open it with the associated program for that file type - it seems that is where your problem lies.

Try saving the attachment somewhere on your computer (note where it is putting it). You should then be able to double click the saved file to view the contents. My guess is that it is either associated with the wrong program or, more likely, not associated with anything at all. If that is the case you have to make the association and then it will be fine in emails too.

Unfortunately I've never even owned a Mac so I'm not familiar with the association procedure, without using Google to find out. In this respect you probably know more about it than I do. The file type (three characters after the dot) would help if you can see it.

If necessary we could probably transfer this post to the Mac forum because it is on the Windows XP forum right now.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
