The subkey RESETS not found under notify

April 27, 2011 at 12:20:12
Specs: Windows XP
repeatedly prompted to activate windows even after activation of Windows XP SP2 and not allowing to log on except in safe mode. While doing the troubleshooting steps as available in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/312... to remove the script interfering with the windows activation, I am unable to find RESETS registry subkey under notify as described in step 3 as well as the related files in step 8. Please throw some light as what to do to solve this issue or how to find these files. Is there a way other than that mentioned to find these reset files.

I would try these one by one, reboot after using each of them.

Naturally, computing basics apply, backup your address book/emails & anything else you want to keep, once you start trying to fix problems, anything can happen.
