If the above doesn't help. Try going into the BIOS and resetting the BIOS default settings or if it's an older BIOS choose fail-Safe settings.
If BIOS defaults don't help, open the case and temporarily disconnect the CD and DVD drives. Leave only the hard drive connected.
Perhaps someone else can offer more suggestions.
