The inbox in Outlook 2002 will not open.

March 2, 2011 at 08:23:49
Specs: Windows XP
When I click on the Inbox, Outllok closes with the "Microsfot Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close error".
I cannot open the users Inbox on any other pc, which leads me to believe that the Inbox has somehow become corrupt.
We also have Outlook Web Mail, and the Inbox can be viewed using that client. Does a tool exist to scan and repair the Inbox? I know about scanpst, but that is only for archive files.

My problem is the Inbox in Outlook, not an archive or ost file.

I can move the email from her Inbox ( via Outlook Web client) to another folder.
I will then Archive all emails in Outlook to a pst file on network.
Will delete the user's mailbox on Exchange server, and recreate a new one.
Then move archived email back to mailbox. Hoping this will work.
