system recovery= now freezes,wont boot

February 7, 2010 at 14:27:27
Specs: Windows XP
I made a set of recovery CD's just in case. then went through system recovery via programs/tools (not using the disks) Every thing seems fine until the computer re-started. I get the windows page with a please wait... message. I have waited ALL night and it is doing nothing. I have tried putting in the first disk from my recovery set and it wont run. F10 doesn't work in fact nothing does! F1 takes me to BIOS but that's it, Have I totally stuffed it?? It used to be my mothers, she tells me it had a different 'mother board' in it???

many thanks

Vanessa

I am so in the dog house at home :(

OK so I have managed to get the CD to run by putting boot from CD as priority in BIOS....
but it says the disks are ' not for this model'

Is it the motherboard thingy? I burnt the disks from this model so how can it be telling me its not for this pooter ??

gggrrr
