System idle process 95%

System Idle process jumps at 95% when Im watching DVD...what to do?? The sound is affected.

It means that the DVD program is using 5% of your CPU, which sounds about right. High system idle numbers are good; means that the system is mostly idle.

What's wrong with the sound?

the image is slower and the sound not good at all...the CPU has green but also red line on the graph.

I can here the sound but there is a back noise that's slowing the movie and a sound attach to it that is similar to an old vinyl record that is scratchy.

it`s not the CPU usage...mine is 97 % as we are "jackbomb" said...high system idle numbers are good...

make sure you have run chkdsk /f on the drive, run disk cleanup and then defrag the drive. Drive fragmentation can slow playback.

Make sure the dvd is clean

Have you successfully played dvd's in this unit before? Sounds like an less than optimal video and sound subsystems.
