5- OR any other softwares

✔ Best Answer
First, make sure you've updated to SP3

Then, this is a decent list:

I would tend to avoid anything under #6 (Utilities). The best utility for XP (cleaning drive, registry) would be CCleaner (get the free version and turn-down the offer to upgrade to Pro...also don't allow anything else to be installed during the installation).

Remember, if you're XP is 32-bit, make sure you only use 32-bit downloads...

I don't know which browsers or security programs still work with XP but here's a couple of links, you'll have to experiment:

CCleaner was already suggested. I recommend going to the CCleaner Builds page & downloading the Slim version to avoid dealing with Adware.

To view/listen to videos, DVDs, CDs, MP3s, etc, try VLC Player.

To view images, try IrfanView.

To burn discs, try CDBurnerXP.

If you need an Office Suite, try LibreOffice or WPS Office.
