start up password

Specs: Windows XP, core2duo / 4 gb
I forgot the boot password for windows XP please somebody help me out to bypass the boot password without formatting.

If you actually mean the 'boot' password, ie the one that comes up in order to get the BIOS to load then I'm afraid we can't help. However, if you mean the user password that gets you into Windows itself, then try restarting in safe mode and use the Administrator account, which hopefully won't have a password on it. Once running you can open Control Panel/Users and remove the password from the main account.

If this is a desktop just removing the battery or moving the jumper next to the
battery from 1+2 to 2+3 and then back can take out the request for a password.

Or you might try going to the following and incorporating them on to a live cd.
Boot off the live cd and run the desired program.

If this is a laptop...and a bios issue,a back door password needs to be generated by the manufacture or by someone who has the required information and the program to create the code.
That is considered Taboo on this forum.
