How did you clean it? What did you clean out? Sounds like you deleted the sound drivers. We can't help without knowing your system specs, or the model of your system, or the make/model of your motherboard, or the make/model of your sound chip...give us some info to work with.

i used disk clean up and deleted some random files, and i think i deleted the sound drivers because i can't see the sound icon that used to be on the tab bar anymore..noticed that even the computer sound when being switched off, not talk about switching on is gone...the problem is i am not good at computers and i don't know things such as the mother board or sound chips...i only know that am using the windows xp, philips computer, and the cpu is written as follows: multimedia computer system AMD sempron-TECHview...if my information is not helping, please just give ideas on the general windows xp and if there is something i can do to reinstall the sound drives....maybe i can download the sound drive from the internet or just anything...thank for your interest in replying....
