azdons,

you are a special individual, obviously not smart enough to fix your own problem, obviously not smart enough to describe your problems to others. Bit of an attitude problem. I for one wont be helping you any further. If you can read, have a little read of your initial 'question'

"letters on my hidden icon button"

is that a question? or are you just thick?

Azdons, three things can cause this,

1. Your CPU is stuck in an Nth binary loop
2. Your chipset bearings need replacing
3. Your electrolytic capacitors need to be degaused

Any good computer shop can do this for you, good luck.

Presumably you mean the "Show Hidden Icons" button in the tray at the bottom on the right, that expands out to view icons that are hidden from view. It took me a while to realise that is what you probably meant.

If the arrow itself has letters on it then I suspect you have some sort of system corruption. Only thing I can suggest is typing sfc.exe /scannow in the Run box to see if it finds and fixes anything.

Reboot afterwards to check.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Ditto, I also can clearly see the arrows on the Hidden Icons Button have been replaced with the letters "in" surrounded by other letters just out of view on the button on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. Love to know what anyone comes up with.

Oh, easy fix for me. I just did a cold start and they disappeared. The arrow is back.
