What "Internet speed" are you trying to measure? Your current download speed? Upload Speed? The maximum speed your connection is capable of delivering if the server you are downloading from is right next to your ISP server? Or do you suffer lag when playing online games and want to try to figure out where the bottleneck is? Is there some point to wanting a speedometer sitting in your tray using up resources? There isn't a whole lot you can do about it if the web is being slow.
Here's a free tool that will show a lot about your network connections and will display speed when you hover over the tray icon.
