Setup files will not completely download

July 1, 2011 at 14:56:36
Specs: Windows XP
I have been trying to downloading software from the internet but i have been failing to because they load only half way or so and then stop. When i try to open it i will get an error message and will be told to download the file again. This happens with anything that i try to load. I cant even update my Java because of this. I thought it was my internet cause sometimes it disconnects itself but then automatically re-connects, this doesnt take a long while for like maybe a second or less. So I do not know what to do and i really need to load some software to my PC.

If you have a problem, your ISP is the one to fix it. Contact them and have them monitor while the download is occurring. If it breaks, they will see the fault.

It would help to know what you are trying to download...and also if you have anti virus programs checking on your down loads.

Is your hard drive formatted ntfs or fat 32?
Fat 32 has a size limit.

There is a program called getright that can pick up an interrupted download and finish it.
