Hi all,
I use Win XP Pro SP3 at work, in a corporate network environment, and my problem is that every time I log on to my account (after logging off of rebooting), I get this message at the top that says "Setting up personalized settings", Browser settings, Outlook settings, etc. Then when I go in IE8, I always get the IE setup screen, as though it's the first time I use it, all my Favorites and the History are lost, everything I disabled before is re-enabled, or vice-versa, and I even have to reinstall the network printers! This happens each time I log on. Very annoying. So now I just lock my PC, but if something were to happen and I have to reboot, I'm screwed. I'm stomped. Has anybody ever encountered this problem?
Thanks in advance

Also, this may or may not be related, but I have noticed that when I log off from my account, the Num Lock key, which I always keep on, reverts to off, probably the state it was setup in the CMOS setup, but I don't have the authority to change that.

You have noticed that the number keypad is off instead of it being on. Have you noticed any clock setting issues and asked the IT people if the cmos battery might need to be replaced.
