searching through google

Specs: Windows XP
If a blog has been removed from the internet, why does it still come up on a google search. For example, google searching identifies the blog, then when you click on it, it says the blog has been removed. Is it possible to make it not come up when a search is done?

The blog may still be cached.

Next time Googlebot tries to access the blog on one of its routine searches and cannot find it it will removed it from the search list.

As micklig says, it is cached in Google's database and could stay there for months until Google discovers that it no longer exists.

Thanks. Is there a way to get Googlebot to do this sooner versus later?

No, Googlebot is under the complete control of Google.

If your blog was regularly updated then Googlebot might give it a higher priority than something that was only updated infrequently.
