Specs: Windows XP
i cannot change the resolution nor the color settings

my resoltion is on 640x480
and my color is set on 8 (low)

i was also wondering that will using the file and transfer wizard from my home pc, and transfering the files onto the new xp computer change my setting and repair it?

i have no problem with the sound card, only the video card...

You need to install the video driver for your video card. You are using the standard default vga driver.

You do this by identifing the video card and then get the drivers off the video card cd or download from the manufacturers web site. In your case it may just be on the Sony CD.

The transfer wizard has nothing to do with your hardware drivers or video settings.

Go to Sony's web site. Lookup your model. Find the link to the drivers. Download the video driver and install it.
