Specs: Windows XP
The procedure entry point RichEdit10ANSIWndProc could not be located in the dynamic link library RICHED20.dll. ?

I don't really know what happened. i downloaded a vista-like software for xp to make my pc work slightly like vista but mostly look like vista, and i didn't like it so after i uninstalled that program, the message above kept popping up, i tried to do system restore but it didn't help. that msg pops up when i open certain programs. somebody told me to search that file and put it back in the folder but i couldn't find the file on my pc. Can anybody help?

Also, can you go straight from windows xp to windows 7? and if its possible, do you have to back up all your files because they will get deleted in the process of installation?

You can go back to a restore point before the vista-like software tweak.

Or, rename the RICHED20.dll & then do a Microsoft Office repair.
