There is no DOS in Windows XP, did you mean NT Command Prompt ?

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

You would be hard pressed to uninstall a program from Command Prompt, unless there is an existing uninstall file and you know where it is located.

Just deleting files is risky and will probably still leave files around, as well as registry entries.

If you can get into Safe Mode (tap F8 key while booting) and uninstall via Windows that would be a better option.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Norton 11 is a windows only program but the installer msi or exe may have command line ability. I doubt you can easily remove it from a command line but some installers have options to allow both install from command line and uninstall from that same program. The info would be at Symantec.

I fail to see any help by telling people there is no dos in xp vista or windows 7. We know what they are trying to say.

Yes but do they?

They come for help because they either have no desire to know technology or they can't fathom it. Most do not know how to phrase a question or post relevant information. I see now how the jokes on car repair shows have the girl going to the repair shop calling stuff thingie and dokickey.
