I have created a fence using Word 2003 equation editor. The fence is the parentheses in this expression: (1+x) and it is created by highlighting the 1+x and then selecting the fence option. But I don't see a way to remove the fence.

Is there a way?

Highlight -> Right-Click -> Translate -> un-check Fence

Thanks for the quick response. In the equation editor, there is no right click option. If I go exit the equation editor and highlight then right click, there is no item called Translate.
