Specs: xp sp2, intel celeron processor 360/512mb
When I turned on the laptop I was getting a error message saying windows/system32/config missing or corrupt.. Well I don't have the disk that came with computer.. So I used a windows XP (upgrade) to reach the recovery console.. Here is what happened next when I would try to do chkdsk /r it would run upto 70% then start back at 50% again.. so I went ahead and did a install it comes up and say no other operating system installed so it ask me to put in a disk so i put my 98 in and it continues. i put the xp back in and it goes threw restarts and the windows logo comes up and here is where my other problem started....
I get a blue screen that says STOP:0x00000024 (0x001902FE,0xF7A358FC,0xF7A355F8,0xF74CA320)
ntfs.sys-address F74CA320 base at F74A5000, datestamp 41107eea
I have tried to look on microsofts website and google.. I see different ones but not this one. it also tells me to run a chkdsk /F when I try that it says bad command.. I don't know what else to do.. also I have found a website that sells the disk for this laptop. but not sure if it is safe to order from them it is anyway sorry for long post just want to let you know as much info as I can
Thank You
