Specs: Windows XP PRO
On attempting to reinstall xp pro, I keep getting "can not find banana.ani" and not recommended to continue. Where can I find banana.ani, if possible and how can I install it with the installation program?

banana.ani is a cursor file....probably it`s not present on the Installation Disk.....if you are able to continue, please do so, because the system can work without it & you can download it later....

Great ! I skipped banana,ani and that ended the installation altogether. I will try again later as I have been at this installation attempt long enough for today. Thanks for the reply.

Try...
Washing the cd in warm soap and water...dry with soft towel.

Download the missing file and put on floppy....should have option to find it if still missing on cd.

Use a different cd....ouch!

You can remove the banana.ani = 1,,,,,,,,3,3 line from TXTSETUP.SIF in the i386 directory.

@worldlibrary

You can`t modify the file since it`s on a CD and it`s read only....

Try...
Washing the cd in warm soap and water...dry with soft towel.

DON`T...It can damage the CD....you can clean it with a dry towel instead....

Download the missing file and put on floppy....should have option to find it if still missing on cd.

Might work....not sure....

Best thing is to obtain a new disk....you can make an image from this one and add the missing file....
