Specs: Windows 7
I followed this tutorial http://www.ocia.net/articles/xpflashdrive/page1.shtml to reinstall windows xp on my hp laptop from usb flash drive. (Windows isn't loaded for some reason. After the loading screen it automatically restarts and the same happens again). I copied all the windows files on my flash drive successfully and inserted it into my laptop but it doesn't show me all the partitions to delete and create again to format it. I see only the usb itself in partitions list, not C: and D: drives and so on. I have installed windows on different computers many times but never had the same problem. Can anyone please help?

Quote=Levani (Windows isn't loaded for some reason. After the loading screen it automatically restarts and the same happens again)

This could be caused by a hardware fault. A BSOD may be visible if you reboot and hold down F8 then select "Disable Automatic Restart on System Failure" from the startup menu.

Thanks for the image. Here's a list of Stop 7b possibilities.

If your hard drive is SATA did you install the driver when you tried to re-install XP. You should have seen a screen display to Press F6 to install the driver very early in the process.

Please post the laptop maker (Dell, HP etc..) and the model number. Is D: the recovery partition?
