Specs: Windows XP
had a glich needed to go back to earlier log in when i got back in mcafee had uninstalledI would like to reintsall help

You did yourself a big favor by unistalling Mcafee. You can do yourself an even bigger favor by keeping that bloatware off your machine. Install Micorosoft's free Security Essentials instead:

I agree in part with Mick, keep Mcafee off your computer. Go to the Control Panel > Add/Remove programs and uninstall all instances of Mcafee. Afterward, run the Mcafee Removal tool, which should clean up even more traces of the products. http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocume...

Now grab yourself a good anti-malware program like Avira Antivir Personal (free). It better protects you against malware, does a better job cleaning up malware, and uses less resources to run than Mcafee. I don't recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. It is rated mediocre by independent testers (AV-Test.org and AV-Comparatives.org) while Avira performed better.
