Specs: Windows XP
After doing a virus scan with mcafee and getting rid of a xp security tools spyware using superantispyware, I can no longer run any windows programs on my computer. Anytime I try to open up add/remove programs windows cleanup anything like that it wants me to select the program from a list. I tried to do a system restore and I get the same thing to select the program from a list. Anything I type in the RUN box Msconfig, CMD anything I get the same response. Can someone please help me :( ?????????????

What does this have to do with registry software?

Have you rebooted & try doing whatever it is you're trying to do from safe mode?

I suggest you dump McAfee & replace it with something decent ( & free).

Download and save this file. Then double click it:
Say Yes to all the prompts.

It is "FixExe.reg" from Bleeping Computer website.

[Thats assuming it will let you download and run it]
