K boot to the xp cd. When you boot to the xp cd, go to install instead of repair. You should have to press F8 to continue. You'll have to delete the partition, D then L. just press enter to install it will make a new partition for you. If it doesnt format, all its doing is a repair install and that wont fix anything. it'll just make things worse. On the other hand if your computer has a restore partition, like a non destructive restore senario obviously do the destructive assuming everythings backed up. If that doesnt work you'll need an xp cd if you dont have one.
my msi pc don't have this thing where u can put in a cd. the reformating cd is like installed
so no cdrom drive. If you cant do a destructive restore, you'll have to find another way to get windows back on your box. External cd rom drive maybe. If you're still under warrenty give your tech support a try. if the backup partition isnt working usually they'll just replace your hdd. Or they may have a few tricks up their sleeves most people dont know about. Some key combination to do what you're trying to do Its worth a shot.
