red x in outlook express using windows xp and red x in incredimail using windows 7 i have un checked the block external pitures in the security setting but still when i send emails on to others they get no pictures so i sent same email to myself and i get no pictures i also set email settings to send email and pictures with message
A bit of punctuation in your post will make it understandable and this may also help:
This is may be to do with the format of mail you are sending.
Mail types can be text (no pictures - hence the red x instead of the image), or rich text (probably no pictures again) and html format. In HTML format the pictures are included. So check your email compose format and see what type you are using.
Outlook Express, Click Tools -> Options -> Send. Under Mail Sending Format, select HTML, then press the HTML Settings button. Make sure the "Send pictures with messages" box is checked
For other possibilities read this:

At first, I missed the part where you state:"...when i send emails on to others...". By "sending on", do you mean "Forward"? If so, getting rid of Incredimail will likely fix that problem, going forward... but it's already too late for past emails. Also, tell your contacts that if they really want to Forward Incredimail messages, they have to include their original as attachments. Same advice for you, of course. There is an explanation for that, if you're interested in finding out why that is.
ive done all the things you listed in fixing the red x problem but still not working. is very frustrating when i have been sending emails before with pictures in no setting have been changed thankyou for trying to help me though
sending on or forwarding. I have also sent mail on by adding as attachment but still not pictures come through, just the dreded red x. ive had computer over ten years never had the red x problem before
what other explanations cause the dreded red x
raquel -- if you send (to yourself) an email with pictures, but by-passing Incredimail, do the pictures then show up? Must by-pass Incredimail, though -- very important. For this test you may have to send (to yourself) an email c/w picture using Webmail, or Hotmail, or Gmail, etc., as Incredimail is now "hijacking/intercepting" your regular email client. The short explanation is that Incredimail pictures are not "embedded" into the email, but refer back online to Incredimail as the source, and tagged to the original sent email. When you Forward, that "source id/tag" is then broken. That method is used by Incredimail as a "gotcha marketing" ploy. I still suggest getting rid of it, and suggesting to your contacts do the same.
ive sent mail to myself with pictures in hotmail , but no pictures come through. i havnt used incredimail for few weeks but i did send myself an email using incredimail but no pictures either. i have cut and pasted the original pictures and sent them on in a new email sometimes the picture come thru other times they dont, using hotmail thanks 4 all your help i think i will just have to forget sending emails with pictures in
