Solved Quick launch icons and window tabs have switched in taskbar

May 9, 2012 at 18:44:27
Specs: Windows XP
Somehow the quick launch icons and the window tabs switched positions in the taskbar. So now the window tabs are to the right of the start button instead of the quick launch icons. How do i switch them back to their original positions? The taskbar is unlocked.
Thanks for your help.
Dave

✔ Best Answer
Click the line that is next to the quick launch icons and drag it all the way to the start button. This will switch the quick launch icons back to being next to the start button.

BPVzero,

Thanks for your quick reply. I had tried that solution but to no avail. But with your confirmation I tried it again and on the third try it worked.
All the best to you and thanks again.
