Problem with Video card driver

Specs: Windows XP
How do GeForce3 Ti 200 drivers appear in the /windows/system32/drivers folder once they are installed. I am having a problem with a recent driver update and I want to disable it using the recovery console.
Also would previous driver versions also be found in this folder?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs & uninstall the nvidia graphics drivers. Reboot & install this one:

Thanks for the post. I should apologise as I should have mentioned that I cannot boot up normally or boot up through safe mode to do anything like that. This problem arose just after updating the GeForce3 Ti 200 driver. I am trying to disable it using Recovery Console on the installation disc. Is there is a way I can revert to the previous driver, which worked, i.e. the monitor worked once windows has loaded up.

Another question I have is whether it is possible to install drivers through the cd bootable recovery console. It doesnt appear so but just in case I am missing something, I want to ask. I'm very new to all this. Thanks

Restart, tap the F8 key, select VGA mode

Tried that but I still get a blank screen. Been trying to backtrack in my mind everything I did before I had problems with booting in safe mode. I remember changing the VGA settings from SYSTEM to (I think) AUTO. So this may have something to do the problem.
