problem with AOL software settings

Specs: Windows XP
My Favorite Places in AOL don't retain their proper order. No matter how I rearrange them, they don't stay put. I can't see any pattern to the order they put themselves in. I tried calling AOL and they were not able to solve the problem.

Forget about calling AOL for technical issues other than password resettings. The programmers that are still employed are more focused on finding another job or getting braced for the hand out of pink slips after getting divorced from Times Wagner conglomerate.

The old AOL as you know it also may not be around long. Is there a reason why you are reluctant to "shop" around for a different customizable web portal?

I have over 5,000 emails saved in AOL folders that I use fairly consistently. If I could transfer those over into Mozilla, I would.

No you cannot transfer AOL mail. AOL mail is very proprietary to AOL, as is everything else with it.
