Do you have that problem with all .pdf files? If so you need to associate pdf files with whatever software you use to read them, such as adobe reader. To do that, right click on a pdf file, choose 'open with', select the program to use and then check 'always use this selected program to open this kind of file' and then click OK.

If this is the only pdf file you're having the problem with make sure that particular file has a .pdf extension.

About making sure its extension is correct--you can go to 'folder options' in control panel, click 'view' and make sure 'hide extensions for known file types' is NOT checked. Then 'apply' and 'OK'. That way the full file name will show.

Post back the full file name if you're not sure.

First make sure, that you have installed a program for PDF files, like Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader or something like that.

Yeah he should be able to open it with whatever software he used when he 'made a pdf file' unless he's trying to view it on a different machine. Maybe it got saved with the wrong extension or no extension.
