Solved Printing GWBASIC on laser printer

December 14, 2020 at 08:36:15
Specs: Windows 10
I can't no longer use LPRINT command in GWBASIC since my printer is USB. I see the helpful code line:
net use LPT1 \\%computername%\USBPrint /persistent:YES Thank you.

But, what does it mean %computername% ??

✔ Best Answer
Don't know much about this but %computername% just returns the name of your computer - it's a shortcut.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

GWBasic is old dos software. Dos doesn't recognize USB. How are your running gwbasic--a separate dos partition, something like DOSBOX or maybe in windows command prompt? How were you previously running it when using the laser printer?
