try tracert and pipe it to a file. Then print the file from gui.

tracert www.att.com > tracert.txt

Or use alt + print screen key and then paste on paint.

Because there is no DOS in Winodws XP. You are running a DOS emulator and is isolated from from Windows.

If you want to capture the output from a command prompt command redirect it to a text file.

tracert 123.245.178.123 > C:\trace.txt

Probably not what you want but if you use PrtScr on XP it will still put the Command Prompt screen on the clipboard. It can then be captured from there with a program such as MWSnap, then Printed.

What's the time?

Thanks Guys,
The problem is solved with Stuart's reply. great stuff. 'Tis so long since I used DOS commands I've forgotten al the 'switches' for getting things done. You learn somethin' every day! I had not realised that the DOS in XP was just an emulater. Thanks for that too!
Best regards
Brian
