Approximately five days ago, my printer stopped working. The previous times this has occurred, I researched and found a simple solution: Restart the Printer Services my clicking "start", "Run", typing in services.msc. Then restarting the Printer Spooler. Now this doesn't even resolve the problem. And the last few days I seem to see more people in google that are asking this same question, it's as if a virus or malaware program was downloaded onto my computer.
I am not a computer geek, I barely know how to just turn the computer on and off.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Thanks,

Re-install the printer driver
Thank you for your reply, however re-installing the printer driver did not work. In fact after re-installing the printer driver and that not working, I completely removed all the software and drivers from the computer. Then I unplugged the printer from the computer and powered down. Before rebooting my computer, I connected the printer back to the computer and restarted the computer. When I was prompted that new hardware was found, I installed the software and drivers.
This was all to no avail.
