Specs: Windows XP home edition
I had to replace my harddrive and restore Windows from the orig set-up discs. I've now gone back to Service Pack 0 (for XP Home), but my printer requires min SP1 to operate. I've tried to download from microsoft.com, but don't know which download to choose from as they all seem related to specific item downloads.
Can anyone advise- and can I go direct to a higher SP level instead of SP1

My understanding is that SP2 includes SP1. I would search for SP2 and install. When you have SP2 installed then install SP3.

Just install SP3 & be done with it. Download it from the following link & save a copy just in case you ever need it again.
