Press F5 back to factory in BIOS

Specs: Windows XP
Want to set my computer back to its factory settings by changing the settings in the BIOS, by finding an pressing ( set back to factory default ) by using the key F5 in the BIOS. How to do it in Windows XP.

you do not need to enter bios to perform a factory restore.
provide make model of your pc and lets see if we can help

Only some computers allow you to return to OEM state in Windows. Most others have various ways to recover. Some need a F key at boot. Some need a cd/dvd. Some use a floppy. Dunno see the owners manual.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.

You don't read this correctly, sorry for posting this that way then. All i want to do is return my computer to ( factory set Hardware ) nothing to do with the Operating system. Hope this say it the way i want it.

To show a friend how to return his setup back so there is no crashes in his PC. Using Win XP ( F5 - then save ) So computer is stable again. Hope it is nothing to do with the operating system. thanks.

i think you may mean the BIOS settings?

you can go into BIOS and select reset default or reset factory.
