Specs: Windows XP
I was playing COD MW2 on my desktop when my screen went black and my tower went silent but the lights were still on. I tryed to turn it off by holding the power button but nothing happen so i pulled the plug and repluged it, but the computer wounld not turn back on. I asked a friend of mine what i could do and he said to get a new power supply wich i did. Now however the computer turns on but i get a screen that asks for a "Boot Disk", so i pop in my Windows CD thinking i just have reformat(no biggie) but i get the BSOD after i get option to start windows instalation. I have tryed using different RAM chips, video cards and a different hard drive but still same things happens. I dont know if i should just get a new computer or if there is anything i can do.

i would borrow or dig up another computer to try the hard drive in. power-supply failure does not usually fry the hard drive. I'm not real up on winXP, but you should at least get to the setup screen. Might be the cpu since you've checked the ram (alway the prime suspect after pws).
