Specs: Windows XP
I keep getting a popup ad from Microsoft to get ie8. I already have ie8 installed (it's showing under add & remove programs with all its updates).I've run virus, adware,& spyware scans-nothing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled ie8 three times - no help. I have the ie8 popup blocker on and Panicware's popup blocker on(which is really good) and yet, every 12th or so time I open my browser, up pops this ad. Responding to the ad doesn't do anything either. It's just annoying.

Have you already checked the installed Addons in IE?
You may deaktivate first all the addons and if the problem disappears, aktivate addons one by one, to figure out which of them causes this problem.

The original poster should always write the last response !!!
Let us know, if the problem is solved !!!

Alot of times when I go to a wb site that list a minimal amount of your system specs it always list my broswer as I.E. ver7 , I have I.E. 8 and have had it for a long time now all of the I.E. updates have been installed . I just find it odd that most of the time its listed as I.E.7 ?
