Solved Personalised Settings gone upon start up of laptop

Specs: Windows XP
Windows XP laptop. password access into laptop ok. Then am informed that my personalised settings, themes, etc. are being (temporarily) set up. When I put pictures from my camera into ""My Pictures" site they disappear each time I use my laptop. Yahoo has blocked my first email account - indicates my user name is correct, also the first "secret" question answer correct but the second one they will not accept even though I know it to be right. Have completed two scans, have all my security up to date, firewalls, etc. Have to keep downloading Mozilla Firefox each time I use my laptop. When surfing various sites a box appears top middle of screen informing me that the pages are not available - destroy or wait - why does this keep happening, even when I am on my laptop at 3am. Please help?

✔ Best Answer
See the following about "Personalized Settings":

The email problem is a Yahoo problem & has nothing to do with your computer. To fix it, contact Yahoo.

If you are still in trouble after carrying out suggestion #1 then you might have a virus.

Install and run this freebie:
It often finds what other scans miss.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
