just reinstalled windows xp after a full wipe. now when everytime i plug my netgear usb network adapter once the adapter obtains an ip address using windows wireless network configuration tool my computer restarts. No BSOD or anything like that the screen just turns black and restarts at post screen.

Yes it does and ut worked before I wiped it. Drivers install fine without any errors or problems.

yes it was use an OEM disk that came with it. and a separate retail disk with no luck.
I have also turned "Auto rebirth after crash" off to make sure it was not a BSOD that is being missed because of the restart.

yep installed drivers, deleted drivers, reinstalled drivers, deleted drivers installed drivers from website after dl on my phone(that took for ever) and still same symptoms. God i hate dell lol.

sry its been a few days we got hit by a storm the other say and it left us with no power for 4 days im my area. (still with out power in other places.) Ill let you know here soon. thank you all for the help
Ok so i dont know why i didnt do this earlier but installed registry mechanic, ran it, reinstalled drivers and poof it worked! thank you all for your help and ideas
