Specs: Windows XP
we have 7 devices connected to a Verizon FiOS router in our home network. everything works fine. Last month we get a new Router then one XP PC can get wireless connection but cannot access internet and cannot ping the router any more. Reinstall the OS and turn of the firewall cannot solve the problem.

✔ Best Answer
Try uninstalling IPv6 (And only use IPv4):
1. Open Control Panel -> Network Connection
2. Right Click the network interface card, and select Properties.
3. Select IPv6 and press Uninstall
4. Restart

Have you checked that the XP security protocol setting (WPA2 etc) matches that of the new router?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

PC can get wireless connection but cannot access internet

Can the computer see or ping any of the other machines on the network? If it can't ping the other machines then this is most likely a wireless configuration issue. (See #2)
