Specs: Windows XP
Hi guys,

I've just done a fresh install of XP Pro to try and get rid of this problem but it still exists. I deleted all partitions and did a fresh install, yet every time I boot my pc I am faced with the black screen asking me if I want to start windows normally (I only have the one o/s installation), boot in safe mode, last best configuration etc....and it's driving me nuts! I've scoured the web using Google seeing how to turn this thing off yet I can't.

how do you turn off your computer is it by the start menu or do you just turn off the ups.if you are just turning off the ups thats why this happends.
or it might be some problem with your hardware or windows installation(curropt files)

I always switch off properly via Windows. The XP is a fresh install, yet the same problems are happening as before I did the clean install. How would I diagnose exactly what the hardware problem is?
