I am running a windows xp home with sp3 - 1 gig ram - when I shut down the computer I get a stop error involving pci.sys and page_fault_in_nonpaged_area. have run chkdsk, system file checker. I have removed each stick of ram to see if one was bad and nothing. I have updated a video driver and still get the BSOD on shutdown. Any ideas?
Notorious for bad motherboards,,,, I would remove the hard drive and put it in another system to back up the data, Then try reinstalling windows...if it BSODS out on you its probably the board or atleast a hardware issue.
