Specs: Windows Vista
Outlook express says my password is wrong but I know right. I just reset it but it won't take it. I was using an online chat with my ISP to help me and he reset it for me. When I said it would work on their web site now but not on outlook express he basically said its microsoft's problem and ended the chat :(

Wee basically he was right. If it work on the Email providers web site then there that means the the password is fine and there systems are working fine.

AS it is not working on Outlook Express ia Microsoft product then it is them that should sort it.

To expect an ISP to be familiar with every piece of software the customer might us is plainly incredulous. You need to contact Microsoft.

I use "Outlook Express" too (on XP). Over the years, many times, my email has started asking for a password - not normally required. It then fails to recognise the password. At these times the internet is working OK and I get the exact same symptom using Vista or Win7 with "Windows LIve Mail", on the same network. I feel certain therefore that the server not handling the account properly is still quite possible. Always the email starts working fine next day.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
