Specs: Windows XP, Quadcore/4gb
Hi, everything loads fine but after the windows xp screen comes and loads the screen goes black and a "Out of Range" square appears in the centre and then it moves to all four corners. I had this problem before but back then i would just restart and the login screen will load. But now it just says out of range after the Microsoft load screen. I cannot get into safe mode, i keep pressing F8 just doesnt work but when it starts i can get into the bios.

Specs:
Intel Quad core: 2.4ghz
4gb ram
Nvidia 8800GT graphics card
650w power
500gb hard drive.
And some gigabyte motherboard

The monitor is a Asus 22inch Lcd.

I really do not want to format, is their a way to reset the graphics card or the monitor please help (sad face). The computer was built in 2007

Is this a new or different monitor? The "Out of Range" message means that the current resolution setting is not supported by the monitor. You need to enable VGA mode to get into Windows, then change the resolution setting to whatever the native resolution is for your 22" Asus. However, to do that, you need to press the F8 key then select "Enable VGA Mode" from the menu. If you have a USB keyboard, try using a PS/2 keyboard.

Most people say to tap the F8 key,. For myself, I hold down the F8 key before I see the XP loading screen.
