Specs: Windows XP Media Center, 1 GB
hi previously i had installed vista transformation pack for xp
after having uninstalling it i am facing problem my origional
xp welcome screen is missing.
Xp is showing vista's welcome screen plz tell me how to
recover my xp's welcome screen back

I'd leave it if it works.

You can re-install the old mbr if you want. See MS site for how to.

Might have to rename boot to boot.ini. Vista probably change it. Might be named boot.bak.

This might help your thinking process but note that it is how to remove or change your boot screen, not to restore it.


The correct contents in boot.ini would seem to be a good start.

You could try this. Examine all these points on you system from this site. Logonui.exe may have been alter. Poster at this website had his effect by their anti virus program.
