Hi, When i try to shut down my Windows XP with a Explorer window open, all I get is a flicker and some of the background services(programs that run in the taskbar) will shut down.
If I manually close the Explorer window, it will shut down with no problems, is there something I can change that will make Explorer run as it should?
I can offer no solution but this little program from MS might serve as a workaround:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...Even if it doesn't get you out of trouble it usually results in faster shut-down.
Thank you, It did not solve the problem, however, I did notice a second cut from shut down and I think that it starts up a little more quickly.
