My Computer in the windows directory C:\windows has 30 or more folders that look like this C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB2423089$ just with different numbers and characters at the end of the folders, I assume that they are from all the updates that I had to install from Microsoft Update but I have all these ugly folders that have next to nothing inside them except some *.DLL's *.EXE's and in their spuninst directory they all have the same files spuninst.exe and that.

My question is can I remove these folders i.e. Delete them from my hard drive. With out having problems. Or can someone explain the point of having all these junkie looking folders that I never use.
